Quick and painless build for my Elie, for our few pics and as a belated birthday present. Took a lazy 2-3 hours to make and paint. Handles, as per my style, are removable if absolutely necessary and so are the lights.

NYCC 2012 – The Gothamist
Looks like I made the Gothamist cut-
Rave – Haru – Eisenmeteor V1 (レイヴ)
Long story behind this, once again last minute big build. It started off as a Heavy Blade for Black Rose from .Hack series, but I abandoned/paused the build due to the meetup falling through at Katsucon 18.
After that I decided to revisit Rave since it was the predecessor of Fairy Tail, and per my usual tastes, decided to revive that show. Given 2 white wigs and already half-built sword, Haru was a no-brainer decision for me.
Sword is as modular as it can possibly be, as usual, and the hole in the bottom is due to it originally being a .Hack Heavy Blade. Blade isn’t perfectly shaped either due to my experiments with reinforcements and just a hint too much heat gun action. ;p

Final words- I’ll add Musica’s signature notes sometime later, as well as make the Rave itself.
What to do, what to do…
Gotta start plannin my next set of cosplays for NYCC/NYAF. So far, definitely leaning towards Haru Glory from Rave and if I’ll figure out the build, Kazuma from S-Cry-Ed. Haru will save my on-hold .hack Black Rose sword that I started, but the other involved people bailed on the group so project went on hold. Kazuma’s arm should be my first armor build, so if I’ll pull that one off somehow, I’ll be open to bigger projects from that point on. All in all, stay tuned folks.

What are they? 3-LED, 10 light mode plastic sticks that run on a simple AAA battery.
Come in all sorts of flavors and with a little soldering, nothing is stopping one from making a custom rig. Also, at the very least the soft cases shown above are HIGHLY recommended for beginners and experts alike.
And what can be done with these? Thats purely in the hands of your dancing and artistic senses.

Hybrid rechargeable batteries are highly recommended- pre-charged duracells in plastic blister, sanyo eneloop, rayovac hybrid. 2 sets per pair of flows will allow safe charging of one set while the other is in use. With proper care, the AAAs should last 2-3 years so avoid cheap 15 minute chargers and anything with radio shack logo on it.
