RAW Natural Artists – En Masse

Was a superb little party at Penn Social, DC, on Sunday night. Besides supporting my friend Mike and his Disco Zoo showcase, I was thrilled to finally see some of my photography on a very nice display. While you’re just starting out, especially in a creative field, even something this small is a pretty big feat and a step forward from the darkness.

Rose Online – Christmas Event 2012

My first xmas in this game, and the event looks pretty decent. There are essentially 4 parts to it and plenty of grinding.

So, it takes place on Santa’s own little planet accessible via Event Guide Judy in Zant.

Here you can kill lazy reindeer who neglect their training and gather Snow Crystals, various Presents, and Elifedora. All of these can be exchanged for xmas-themed limited items.

Santa offers Santa suit pieces, holding and back items, and Santa sleigh cart for crystals and Elifedora. To get the sleigh cart, you must wear the Santa suit on your avatar and talk to Santa again since this time an option for Rudolph Suit and Back items will open up. After you get and equip the Rudolph Suit, you will be allowed to purchase sleigh cart parts.

Grouchy reindeer Bob offers black Santa suit for stolen present boxes. Run around all of the maps and click on ground present boxes to steal them.

And Presents themselves contain Christmas Trees and Snowballs to be used for fun.

Tigercon 2012

Got here pretty late, so there wasn’t much of anyone left for the most part, but you can’t beat a free con, right?

Maryland Legendary Christmas Jam

Pretty steezy meet for Maryland area. First hill got broken up by a cop, so we moved to another one in the area. That went real well until 5-0 showed up again, but this time they were pretty chill and let us carry on. This was also the first time I tried my hand at action shots and all that jazz.

Anime USA 2012

WHAT a con, in a way. In a way same old, same old despite being in a new, baller hotel. Here’s the general cosplay coverage, that I don’t have nearly as much of for this con.

Nekocon 2012

Quite last minute and mostly to visit good old friends, but here it is:

Lots of good times, big pimpin, bro’ing down and fixing continuously breaking swords.

Kollaboration DC 3 (2012)

Third show since Kollaboration expanded into the nation’s capital, and was getting better and better every year. So what it is? Essentially a festival to highlight and promote various up-and-coming local Asian artists and recognize them for their talent and hard work in areas they are all passionate about. All of the performances this year pushed the envelope compared to last and they even pulled a J-Pop artist Salia into the mix. That was the first milestone for the event and I hope international guests become more regular in the future.

I highly recommend looking the performances up online (youtube), but here are the top 3 contestants this year-

3rd place were the Lascajacakhan trio with their diverse fusion of styles.

2nd place went to the Mighty Morphing Boogie Rangers for their satirical hip-hop style group dance performance.

And the winner of this year’s show was George Yamazawa with his touching and inspiring free form poem about his father.

All in all, the show was absolutely worth it again this year, and I hope Kollaboration DC keeps expanding and pushing the envelope next year.
