That simply doesnt exist here in Tokyo.

For curious cats out there, this was roughly the route I did (minus the hills here, since I didn’t quite have a death wish…)

Variation included running through Tokyo-eki area and grazing all the way around Sakuradamon, but otherwise the same.

Bye bye Paris 190s, Hello Bear 852s

Traded old set of Paris truck that were a prelude to my Surf-Rodz for the well-spoken Bears. So far, I like em, definitely beat Randals by a mile. And then the rest of my swag.

Xsjado Farmer 4.1 – Kizer Fluid III – Street Artist

Mega deal for being InlineWarehouse member- Farmer 4.1 limited boots, free Fluid 3s, Street Artist wheels all for 160 2-day shipped! Mmm. Topped this with my grind rocks and bearings and presto:

Great comfy fit. Surprised sz 11 wraps didn’t kill my feet like my 10.5 basic 09 LE’s.

Well-worthy of a Note – NYC Street Invitational 2011

Just want to do a proper write-up of this past year’s, August marvel that happened right in Williamsburg neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. So what was it exactly? Only a sick aggressive inline competition with a prize purse of $10,000 (split between 1-3rd places), right under the highway overpass, with home-made obstacles, and most importantly perfectly legal.

Heads from all across the states flew or drove in, including most of the pro’s of this scene and amazing tricks were landed throughout the whole day.

Aggressive skating today is the real spectacle of what soul sports are all about, so I encourage everyone to look this stuff up and see for yourselves. I’ll give a shout-out to One Magazine, for posting older issues up for grabs right on their site (click).

And my crappy, but footage of different parts of this event:
